Hello to all of you Adventure Bound enthusiasts from the Adventure Bound shop dogs, Smokey and Bentley! If you haven’t already met us on one of your visits to the store, we’d like to introduce ourselves.
I’m Bentley Rounds and I’m an 8 year old golden retriever. My human family includes John & Christy Rounds and the Rounds kids, Gracie, Callie and Christopher. I also have some pet family members, including Jingle (a Siberian cat), Little Guy (a crested gecko) and Christopher’s two aquatic frogs, Bronco and Payton Manning. I love walks in the woods, walks to the park, walks around the neighborhood…. basically, I just really love walks. If you toss a ball into the mix, I’m in heaven! One of my favorite walks in Ellicottville is to the top of Holimont. The view is spectacular!
And I’m Smokey Wilkinson, an 8 year old Weimaraner. Actually, this picture isn’t really me. In fact, it’s not even a picture of a Weimaraner. But it just goes to show how silly you humans can be when it comes to dressing your dogs. I think I speak for my entire species when I say that dogs prefer Ruff Wear jackets over human parkas! So we asked our blog team (AKA: Christy) to write an article about what your dog REALLY wants for Christmas! After all, it’s important to remember your furry friends during your holiday gift-buying excursions. Here are some of our favorite items to add to your holiday shopping list:
Ruff Wear Haul Bag $79.99 – The Ruff Wear haul bag is great for weekend get-aways. With1525 cubic inches of room, there is plenty of space for all our kibble, leashes and toys.
Ruff Wear Kibble Bag $39.99 – Are you tired of torn zip-lock baggies of dog food spilling all over your car or in your luggage? The Ruff Wear Kibble Bag keeps our food neat and safe. Bentley says that it’s also great for keeping the cat out of his food!
Ruff Wear Highlands Pad $29.99 – We both love the Highlands Pad because it provides a little insulation and gets us off the cold floor. It’s also an economical way to keep your car clean when we have muddy paws or we’re going through one of our shedding cycles. The accordion-style design makes this pad really compact too.
Ruff Wear Highlands Bed $59.99 – Another lightweight bed option is the Highland Bed. It is a packable, durable dog bed that provides comfort and insulation on the trail. Lightweight synthetic insulation provides warmth and protection from hard, cold surfaces. It also compresses into an included stuff sack.
Ruff Wear Gourdo toy $14.99 – What dog doesn’t like toys? From interactive play, to treat dispensing, to gum massaging, the Gourdo durable toy does it all. Now… to set the record straight, slobber doesn’t bother we dogs too much. But it seems to gross out our human friends. The Gourdo’s rope lanyard makes this toy it easy to throw and pick up without having to mess with the slobbery rubber end.
Ruff Wear Bivy Bowl $24.99 or Quencher Cinch-Top Bowl $19.99 – Bentley says that he has become pretty adept at drinking water from the stream of an Osprey reservoir. But he much-prefers drinking from a regular old dog dish. Ruff Wear makes the Bivy Bowls and Quencher Cinch-Top Bowls to make sure we dogs can stay hydrated during our daily activities.
Ruff Wear Powder Hound Coat $89.99 – Smokey is a big fan of Ruff Wear’s insulated jackets. The Ruffwear Powder Hound is a hybrid jacket that offers the warmth of synthetic insulation with the range of motion of technical stretch fabric. This weather resistant and packable insulated jacket is ideal for cold-weather activities. It also has a convenient zipper on the left side of the jacket allows for a high-performance fit.
We have a whole lot of other supplies – like pet lights, fancy leashes, collars, etc. – that will delight your pup while human family members are opening their gifts. We are also getting a nice shipment of Zukes dog bones this week. Bentley and Smokey will be sure to sample them to make sure they meet the exacting standards of our canine customers.
Be sure to stop by Adventure Bound and see the new inventory that is arriving daily!
