Adventure Bound OnTheFly is excited to announce a date for the first annual Ellicottville Paddle Festival! On Saturday, June 18th from 3:00pm – 8:00pm, we will be hosting the Ellicottville Paddle Festival at our new 5 acre demo pond. The pond is on Hwy 219, right across from the Groove fitness center.
The event will kick off at 3:00pm with a complimentary SUP Outdoor Power Yoga session on around the demo pond, compliments of the Groove Fitness Center. The SUP Outdoor Power Yoga class will be lead by Steve Procknal. Steve is a Baptiste Power Yoga instructor with Power Yoga Buffalo, Lululemon Ambassador, Endurance Athlete, and a Former D1 College Athlete.
Throughout the evening, we will have Dina’s food truck selling street tacos, beer from Ellicottville Brewing Company and live music from Molly & The Lavender Kings. We will also have some fun events for kids like SUP limbo, SUP handstand competitions and a SUP / Kayak tug-of-war.
Thanks to a new partnership with Orvis, Adventure Bound will be offering an Orvis 201 fly fishing clinic. There will be a charge of $50 per person for this three hour course, which will leave at 10:00am from the Adventure Bound store. Fly Fishing 201 will be taught by Tom Zemianak, who is the regional sales manager for Orvis. Tom lives in Manchester, VT, home of Orvis’s headquarters.
Orvis rods and reels will be provided as part of the Fly Fishing 201 course at the Ellicottville Paddle Festival. Space is limited to 10 people and will fill quickly, so be sure to sign up now by calling the Adventure Bound store at 716-217-4047 or e-mailing info@AdventureBoundOnTheFly.com.
Of course we will also have a full selection of inflatable and hard stand up paddle boards (SUPs) for our guests to try, as well as kayaks.
Adventure Bound will have a large fleet of SUP’s and kayaks available to rent all summer long. We are able to accommodate large groups and offer a discount on group reservations. Busy summer weekends like the Ellicottville Summer Music Festival Weekend, the Ellicottville Jazz and Blues Festival Weekend and the Taste of Ellicottville Weekend will book quickly. So be sure to make your reservations well in advance.
