Have you ever wondered what kind of flowers are blooming along the path as you hike or bike in Ellicottville? How did they get interesting names like trout lily or squirrel corn? Or where do they go so fast?
Adele Wellman, Allegany State Park Naturalist, can help you learn to identify our local beauties on Saturday May 21 from 9-12. The class will start out at Adventure Bound OnTheFly with a short introduction to wildflower field guides and how to use them. Adele will take you on a tour through the Nannen Arboretum where you will explore the local flora and identify many wildflowers both native and non native.
For more information, you can send us an e-mail or call 716-417-4047.
We are requesting a donation of $10 per person to go to Family Support For Ellicottville.
