Adventure Bound is excited to announce a partnership with Holiday Valley for a new SUP / kayak rental kiosk at Spruce Lake this summer. The kiosk will be open weekends from Father’s Day weekend through mid-September.
Ellicottville is gaining popularity as a four-season resort community. Planted squarely in the center of the “golden triangle” of Buffalo / Toronto, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh, the town is within an easy 2-3 hour drive for 28 million people.
Ellicottville’s winter appeal stems from the fact that it boasts two world-class ski resorts. Holiday Valley was rated 3rd best resort in the east by Ski Magazine. And Holimont is largest private ski resort in the Northern Hemisphere.
The town is expanding its acclaim as a year-round vacation destination with music and food festivals every weekend in the summer and a Friday night “stroll-the-streets” where families can experience stilt-walkers, magicians, face painting, balloon twisting, live music, and spectacular dining. Ellicottville is also home to Ellicottville Brewing Company (EBC), a multi-million dollar state-of-the-art brewing facility in the heart of Ellicottville’s downtown business district.
Every year, tens of thousands of visitors spend a day swinging through the trees at Holiday Valley’s Sky High Aerial Adventure Park, swooshing down the mountainside on the Sky Flyer Mountain Coaster, or chasing golf balls on the Holiday Valley’s golf course. Countless others explore nearby Allegany State Park, mountain bike on the extensive trail system in the area or take advantage of fishing for steelhead on the famous Cattaraugus River (Catt Creek).
But most do not know that on average, 10-12 weeks a year, the Ellicottville creek is a gorgeous untouched waterway that can be explored by kayak and or SUP. We hope you enjoy this footage from our inaugural spring 2017 run down the creek.
